Laser Range Software

Firearms training is not a game. That’s why you won’t find exploding barrels, tin cans, or rows of ducks in Laser Range. What you will find is powerful simulation software that sets Laser Range apart from every other dry-fire and simulation system on the market.

Under the hood, Laser Range uses lightning-quick algorithms to precisely track and log your shots.

On the screen, Laser Range uses rich 3D graphics to simulate a wide variety of realistic targets and environments. Add Range Builder software to build your own courses of fire. Of course, all of this power doesn’t do you any good if it’s difficult to use, so we’ve worked extra hard to make the Laser Range interface simple to understand and use.

Laser Range

The heart of the Laser Range system runs built-in courses of fire and practice sessions – or run an unlimited variety of courses of fire developed in Range Builder software.

Within the Laser Range software, you’ll also find options for basic target practice, calibrating the Laser Range IR camera with your projector, and adjusting shooting preferences.

Range Builder

When you’re ready to take your training to the next level, you’re ready for Range Builder.

Range Builder is a software addition to Laser Range that allows you to create an unlimited number of courses of fire for endless training possibilities. Courses can have up to 30 stages, each stage with its own target, rules, and requirements. Targets can be controlled with user-selectable triggers and actions.

Computer Requirements

Laser Range is built around a powerful 3D graphics engine and requires a modern computer (generally less than 5 years old) running a Windows operating system. Below are minimum requirements and recommended specifications for your computer hardware. A good rule of thumb is that if your computer is capable of running current 3D games such as Call of Duty, it should run Laser Range perfectly well.

The Laser Range camera can be connected to a USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port. The use of a USB extension cable is not recommended.

If you plan to use a laser weapon with recoil, your computer should meet or exceed the recommended specifications below. This will allow the camera to run at maximum speed and prevent dropped shots.
